MANSFIELD AND DISTRICT – 7 DAYS TO THURSDAY 14th September 2017. (Sent on behalf of Mansfield District Commander Nick Butler).

 

Crimes reported over the past 7 days, 12:00 7th September - 12:00 14th September 2017.

Berry Hill

 

Theft from a motor vehicle:

Overnight on Thursday 7th a car on Faraday Road was entered after it was left unlocked. A scooter, Ray Ban glasses and some loose change were taken.

 

Overnight on Monday a car parked on Sapphire Street was entered after the boot was left unlocked. Sunglasses and perfume was taken. On the same night a car parked on Scholar’s Way was entered by unknown means, a purse containing a bank card was stolen.

 

Overnight on Tuesday a car parked on Nottingham Road was broken into and an IPod stolen. The handbrake was released in the incident and the car rolled downhill causing damage to the vehicle. On the same night a car parked on Heathfield Way was entered and sunglasses stolen.

 

Criminal damage to a motor vehicle:

A car parked on Curbar Close was extensively damaged on Monday morning. Several windows were smashed and dents were made in the driver’s door.

 

Broomhill

 

Burglary dwelling:

On Tuesday morning a house on Albion Street was broken into by forcing open a back door. Two lap tops were stolen, along with a wallet containing cash and cards.

 

Church Warsop

 

Burglary dwelling:

At lunchtime on Tuesday a house on Sycamore Street was entered via a bathroom window. Cash was stolen from the property.

 

Burglary other than dwelling:

Overnight on Friday two caravans parked at separate addresses on Manor Road were broken into and the batteries stolen.

 

Eakring

 

Burglary other than dwelling:

An external garage on Normanton Drive was broken into overnight after the lock was cut off, it is not known if anything was taken. The owner was away on holiday at the time.

 

Theft from a motor vehicle:

In the early hours of Tuesday morning a van parked on Reindeer Street was entered by unknown means and some tools were stolen.

 

Criminal damage to a motor vehicle:

A car parked on Bowling Street was damaged on Wednesday night. The rear windscreen was smashed with a plant pot but entry was not gained. 

 

Forest Town East

 

Theft from a motor vehicle:

Overnight on Tuesday a van parked on Greenway was forced open and an impact driver stolen.

 

Forest Town West

 

Theft from a motor vehicle:

In the early hours of Friday morning an attempt was made to break into a van parked on Breckbank. The owner heard a noise outside and when he went out to check witnessed a male run away from the van and ride away with another male who was waiting on a motorcycle.

 

Grange Farm

 

Theft from a motor vehicle:

On Friday evening an attempt was made to break into a van parked on Winthorpe Street. The lock was damaged but entry was not gained as the offender fled when the alarm was triggered.

 

Ladybrook

 

Theft of a motor vehicle:

In the early hours of Friday morning a white Audi S3 was stolen from outside a house on Harrington Street by unknown means.

 

Criminal damage to a motor vehicle:

On the evening of Thursday 7th both wing mirrors of a car parked on Bancroft Lane were broken off. On the same night the wing mirror of a car parked on Ladybrook Lane was also broken off.

 

Leeming

 

Theft from a motor vehicle:

Overnight on Monday a van parked on Harby Avenue was broken into and a number of tools were stolen.

 

Overnight on Tuesday two cars parked on Foxglove Grove were entered. One vehicle had been left unlocked and a wallet containing cash was taken, both number plates were also stolen. Sunglasses were taken from the other vehicle.

 

Lindhurst

 

Burglary other than dwelling:

On Wednesday afternoon the shed of a house on Newark Close was entered by unknown means. A number of coffee tables were stolen.

 

Theft of a motor vehicle:

A blue Mercedes parked on Tedburn Drive was stolen overnight on Thursday 7th.

 

Criminal damage to a motor vehicle:

The windscreen of a car parked on First Avenue was smashed on Sunday evening.

 

Oak Tree

 

Burglary dwelling:

On Friday afternoon a house on Bradforth Avenue was entered through an unlocked side door. The offender stole an IPhone 6, a ladies engagement ring, a man’s Longines watch and a man’s gold chain.

 

On Tuesday evening a flat on Mappleton Drive was entered through a boarded up window and the television stolen.

 

Criminal damage to a motor vehicle:

On the evening of Thursday 7th the wing mirrors of two cars parked on Elton Close were deliberately damaged.

 

Pleasley Hill

 

Burglary other than dwelling:

In the early hours of Friday morning a business property on Chesterfield Road North was entered and a number of industrial cabins were broken into, it is not known if anything was taken.

 

On Monday afternoon the outbuilding of a farm on Water Lane was broken into and a number of tools stolen.

 

Portland

 

Burglary dwelling:

On Tuesday night the shed of a property on Lord Street was entered after the padlock was removed, tools and a child’s BMX were taken.

 

Ravendale

 

The shed of a property on Hickling Court was broken into by breaking open the shed door, a bicycle was stolen in the incident.

 

Portland

 

Theft from a motor vehicle:

Two males were witnessed breaking into a van parked on Herbert Street on Friday evening.  The van had been left unlocked, it is not known if anything was stolen.

 

Sherwood

 

Burglary other than dwelling:

In the early hours of Friday morning a garage on Paulson’s Drive was entered by unknown means, nothing was taken.

 

Theft of a motor vehicle:

In the early hours of Friday morning a silver Kia was stolen from outside a house on Paulsons Drive.

 

Criminal damage to a motor vehicle:

Overnight on Sunday a car parked on Burlington Drive was damaged. The owner found footprints on the bonnet and dents in the roof.

 

Town Centre

 

Theft from a motor vehicle:

A car parked on Toothill Road was entered on Monday evening after the owner left the vehicle unlocked, nothing was taken.
