THEFT EDWINSTOWE
At 11am on Monday 4th September a male approached a female on High Street, Edwinstowe and asked her if she could change some money for him. The male has then stolen £85 from her purse and walked off. The male is described as a white male, quite tall, well spoken and was wearing a suit. This is not the first incident of this nature in Edwinstowe, previous descriptions have been that the male was dark skinned, speaking with a foreign accent and often asking to change coins for a £5 note.
Local officers have been attending coffee mornings and community centres to speak with those being targeted which are mainly the elderly to offer advice.
